Fall 2024 TMBP Exam Registration

THE TMBP SPRING 2024 EXAM REGISTRATION WINDOW HAS CLOSED.

The next exam offering will be Fall 2024. More details to come, but the Fall 2024 Exams will be held the day before the Texas Beekeeper’s Association Annual Convention (likely the first weekend of November 2024).

 

Spring 2024 Exam Details:

When: Friday, March 1st, 2024

-Apprentice Exam: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

-Advanced Exam: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

-Master Exam: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Where: Brenham Expo Center (1305 E Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833)

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: With the beekeeping law changes, as of September 1st, 2024, all previous Apiary Registrations are no longer valid. For participation in the program, you will need a valid Beekeeper Registration on file with the Texas Apiary Inspection Service. The Beekeeper Registration Application can be found here: https://txbeeinspection.tamu.edu/forms-fees/, and has a $35 fee. Registering as a Texas Beekeeper can be managed one of 2 ways:

** If we have not received your Beekeeper Registration by the day of the event you will not be allowed to take the exam at this time, since Beekeeper Registration is a requirement for the Exam. **

For those eligible to take the Apprentice exam:

 

In order to participate in the Apprentice level exam you will need to have kept bees for at least one year and have an active Beekeeper Registration on-file with the Texas Apiary Inspection Service (found here: https://txbeeinspection.tamu.edu/forms-fees/). Please be prepared to conduct the in-hive portion of the exam. More information on all level requirements, can be found here: https://masterbeekeeper.tamu.edu/requirements-3/. More details on the in-hive portion and other exam information will be sent to you once exam registration has been finalized.

 

For those eligible to take the Advanced exam:

 

You will need to have held the Apprentice Beekeeper rank for at least one year and have kept bees for at least two years. You must also have an active Beekeeper Registration on-file with the Texas Apiary Inspection Service (found here: https://txbeeinspection.tamu.edu/forms-fees/). Please bring your completed Documentation Binder, including proof of passing the six training modules, to the exam with you. More information on the Documentation Binder, modules, and other requirements, can be found here: https://masterbeekeeper.tamu.edu/requirements/. If you have questions about uncompleted Public Service Documents, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

For those eligible to take the Master exam:

 

You will need to have held the Advanced Beekeeper rank for at least one year and have kept bees for at least three years. You must also have an active Beekeeper Registration on-file with the Texas Apiary Inspection Service (found here: https://txbeeinspection.tamu.edu/forms-fees/).  Please bring your completed Documentation Binder and Major Declaration Form to the exam with you. More information on the Documentation Binder, Major Declaration Form, and other requirements, can be found here: https://masterbeekeeper.tamu.edu/requirements-2/. If you have questions about uncompleted Public Service Documents, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

Pre-registration is required in order to participate in this exam. Each person who is interested in participating in the exam must submit an exam registration form under their own name. The fee for the exam is $75.00 per participant.

 

Spring 2024 Exam Registration has closed. Links for the Fall 2024 Exam Registration will be added once those exams have been announced.
